I think it could be the spacing of that 2.0" pulley - it sticks out an extra 1/3 of an inch at least, and I put spacers on the other idlers near it in order for them to line up with the belt. That may have given me just enough clearance there.

Bingo! That's what it is. It still makes me wonder why the spacing makes it so belt runs down so angled to the point where it strikes the plug and the sensor.

Great diagram, thanks. I have pretty much narrowed it down to injectors or the ucon..

I teased myself last week by going to the beach and getting that sea level boost. 5* here this morning, but elevation trumps temp every time.

Anyone in here running the TRD tune with a 2.8 qwikchange or 2.825 URD pulley? I am wondering what your AFRs look like at WOT and whether they move around at all, or if they're pretty steady?

Long story short, I am trying to rule out my UCON as the root of my problem, and am wondering how steady the AFRs should be w/ the TRD flash. As it stands right now with my UCON, they are pretty erratic at WOT and I want to know what I should be looking for when swapping over to the TRD tune. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    My setup;
    Running no cats
    URD equal length headers
    JFR Ypipe
    full 3" catback exhaust
    URD TCAI
    Walbro 255

TRD tune with only the 2.8 at wot will be off the chart rich.

Ahhh I should mention.. I have no cats, URD equal length headers, JFR Ypipe, full 3" catback exhaust, URD TCAI. This will likely lean things out a bit more right? Might be hard to find a comparison

Still probably going to only put you into the mid 10's I would guess.

That's what I thought too, but my TRD tune was slightly lean on the 2.7. Most are rich - but not all.

@rjbiii I'll post my AFRs from my dyno sheet when I get home shortly.

    How about you @JuanitoBunito ?

You are the only other person I can think of with the 2.8, a TRD S/C, and an AFR gauge..

Not sure how much this will help because my TRD tune seems to be an exception to the rule, but here are my AFRs on the 2.7 pulley. I had the DW 255 fuel pump but still too lean on stock 455 injectors without FPR mod

This helps a lot, thank you again for posting this James. Gives a good baseline for what I can expect on the leaner side of things

I like how close to level your torque stays after it peaks. Any tips for how you did that? Porting perhaps?

Is it pretty steady 11 or does it move around quite a bit?

I haven't ported anything yet. Possibly the Doug Thorley shorties?

Back when I ran the 2.8 pulley I was pig Rich at wide open throttle runs and I would range anywhere from I believe it was 9.5 to about 10.2 non FPR mod. Air fuel ratio at wide open throttle on the TRD tune will not be a consistent solid number and will always vary a little.
