Actually a good idea. I have the tsounami one from Pep Boys. It works fantastic and I believe only about $65

I love the one I got. Even if I get an ARB or something later I'll keep this one and it works incredibly well

I like the weather tech idea. That or the dash cam since he spends so much time on the road. I can recommend a good set go within budget if that’s what you decide

    Check My Sig.
I read this OP and I think what you’re doing is awesome. I aplaud you for the knowledge you do have about his truck. Sounds exactly like my GF when she first started learning about my truck. :rofl:She’s come a long way.

Pics of the truck would be very helpful but off the top of my head, and not in any particular order, my favorite budget options would be:

Please shop around for pricing though; these were just the first to pop up so you had reference. Any combination or one item would be great for him.

-weather tech floor mats (I still don’t have a set and am dying to get some)
    https://www.amazon.com/WeatherTech-...sr=1-7&keywords=weathertech+floor+mat,+tacoma

-bed mat (probably one of my favorite accessories as stupid as it sounds)
    https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyo...&sr=8-2&keywords=toyota+tacoma+rubber+bed+mat

-EZ Deflator (inexpensive and EXTREMELY useful.)
    https://www.amazon.com/ARB-ARB505-E-Z-Deflator-Orange/dp/B004LQCDOA

-Ditch lights? (My GF got me the Cali Raised combo set last year for Christmas. They work great but only needed if you do a lot of night trails or plan to.)

-I like the air compressor idea. The Viar works very well for a potable option. Maybe a nitrogen tank setup? Can anyone confirm the price of a setup, I’ve not gone that route?

A front windshield sun shield from Autoanything

Total Chaos bed stiffener from Toytec

    Foam Gun/kit from Chemical Guys

Bollsa LED headlight lightbulbs from Kickstarter
It's a pledge donation not a straight buy

    Here is what you do...

You tell him to go buy you beer
You tell him to take YOUR car
You tell him there is a sale at the store that's 4-5 miles away
You take pics inside and out of his truck while he is gone, and post them here so we know what he already has
You drink the beer he brings home
You watch a movie, or not, it's up to you

you can go to the dealership, they usually have lot of cool stuff hanging around in the parts department. They are hella pricey but cool nick nacks...coffee mugs, key chains so forth with TRD, Toyota badging. Also would give you an idea or focus your attention to a particular area.

It's going to be really hard for her to post pics of his truck on here if he is also on here it would kinda blow the whole thing. To me just the effort she is putting into this is the real present

He prob is, don’t ruin it. He will play this and that will be good enough. It’s the thought that counts. I think it is cool, I’m getting some great ideas for my truck. Thanks Folks.
