Anybody out there running Nitto Ridge Grappler 265/65/17XL on TRD wheels? Any pics? Any input? Supposedly, these tires will only fit on a rim that's at least 17x7.5". The TRD wheels are 17x7".

They said the 265/65/17 would fit on the TRD rims. Their specs say minimum rim size is 7”. All that being said, they also said it was not ideal...

Sorry if that doesn’t help but it’s all I got from them.

The 265/65R-17 size is safely run on a 7-inch wide wheel - this is the minimum we recommended.

There is a suggested safe rim width range for any given tire size per the T&RA build guidelines with the "ideal" width typically in the middle.

A couple points to consider here is that a narrower wheel can give up some handling and will tend to give a cushier ride because the sidewall has more flex.
