Why is it when you call dealership parts departments and give them a exact part number...they refuse without a damn VIN. I got so frustrated I finally said, hold on let me find a Camry VIN from your website.

I would have told them that Ill give you the VIN if I can have your SSN, then I would have said do you want my money or not?
    That is ridiculously stupid though:annoyed:

I just called over, this guy actually had a brain - didn't ask for a VIN and asked if I was doing a diff breather mod :p if you want to see if your place has em in stock?

He doesn't have them in stock... asked for these two

    1. Toyota Part numbers:90404-51026 Camary Union and 90930-03136 (Breather Union)

Ok for those that want to go on for a ride on Friday I'VE got a pretty good idea of what we are doing. I'm actually having another buddy lead us cause he knows the routes better than me.
But I don't like posting my address on the forum so who ever is going please pm me address and I'll send it.
We will be up in the Northeast part of CT. We start in Willington CT.

Wish I could. I'll be doing a little mod/maint work that day. Installing 886's, brakes all the way around, and recovery bar install. Doubt I'll be done before you leave. ;). Enjoy the ride everyone!

    Morning everyone. Happy "Friday"!

Yesterday was brutal at work... had close to 400 inbound emails by the end of the day, a lot of which are not just a simple reply, or a single email reply... got all sorts of shits from people... really was thinking about just calling it quits at the end of the day.

Hopefully today will be way better since I'm sure next week will be the same shit since my co-worker will still be out.

By default, shouldn't our boss/supervisor be "forced" to cover and do his job as well, since we're a small team (my co-worker and I, and then our boss, that's it)?

    Morning all.

Nuno, you only want your boss involved if they are actually going to help. Too many times, I've seen them offer assistance and it results in more work for me to fix their mess.

Remember the beauty of email is the "I never received it" excuse. Delete key upper right of keyboard...

LOL! Ain't that the truth right there. If she "helped" I'm sure I'd have even more work to do. Definitely don't want or need that. But she should know how to do the job... Right?? I thought that was part of being a supervisor; that you knew or had to know how to do the job so you can help, cover, or be able to run the department correctly. Maybe I'm just being unreasonable and unrealistic.

Same works well for me. Only thing I had planned was taking a look at the local hardware store to see if they had any deals on Weber grills for the father in law. He’s getting a nice present for Xmas this year...
