Thought I would join the Tacoma group seeing that I will be a brand new owner of a early model 2001 Tacoma!
Right now it is stock but I am looking to do some fun stuff. Not too crazy. I want it to be "streetsble".
Will give it solid cleaning... Upgrade stereo.. Then will be looking on the site for suggestions on basic 2-3 lift and thoughts around wheels and tires!

BTW.... I would have put pictures out here... but I am such a newbie and I am SO jacked about getting this truck.... it's not even here yet for me to TAKE pictures and I am already planning what I am going to do.
I want to to put a slight lift on the truck 3". There is a TON of information on this site but it can be a bit overwhelming at time. I have $300 to spend right from the beginning for the lift. Between, Shackles and Shocks and Coil-overs, and coil-overs with standard springs and leveling kits.... AWWWWW !!
So help a brotha out !! I got $300.00 to spend..........what would you do?
    if it helps ....
    1. I have a heated garage and nothing really scares me too much. Basic welding to engine rebuild. Done it.
    2. Not going to do any offroading.... this is going to help me get some work done, hauling my motorcycle occasionally.
    3. Want a 3" lift, some cools tires, I will do some body mods to make it look cool.

I would prefer some thing like this that I seen on Ebay. ("Tough County 3" lift")

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Toyota...=item41f16858fc:g:XYEAAOSw3ANbze20:rk:20:pf:0

Basically a "kit" that gives me everything I need. Roll the truck in the garage on a Saturday... Driving a lifted truck on Sunday.
If you had $300.00 is this a good place to start?
    Thanks
    todd
