Well, I'm not a fan of the 3rd gen nor the engine choice they made and we have the camper now so it just makes even more sense to go that route next time.

 

So it did tow OK but not great? Or just personal choice? Neighbor Lady has an extended Tundra. I like it a lot.

 

The Tundra is nice. And from a cost standpoint...the 4.6 with 310 HP was plenty of engine for my needs. Big discounts on them back in '15. Not sure these days.

But the Taco fills my needs fine. Plus it fits in the garage. And if I play nice with it...lower 20s as far as MPG is possible.

Andd the taco is easier n more fun to drive around.

 

It tows fine it's just the taco isn't a great tow vehicle. Plus I imagine we'll move to a bigger camper eventually also so that will just be too much for the tacoma. Mainly just the Tacoma gets shit for mileage towing and the Tundra will do better with the load behind it. Plus a damn Tacoma is as much as the Tundra's now so more bang for the buck. We don't need all the fancy TRD packages in a tow vehicle and it will be more room for little man as he gets bigger. Plus as of right now I only have 1700 lbs to spare with the Taco. Which we'll never be near it but still, I'd like a little more wiggle room just for my own well being.

 

Define "crappy weather" there.....85 and mostly sunny?

Had to take advantage of these black friday sales just ordered some nerf bars for the truck.

 

Is that what living in paradise is like? Looks expensive as shit.

 

It's not too shabby here. Not too expensive cost of living wise, but not cheap either, if that makes sense. Homes are in the $200-300k range, gas is $4.56 a gallon, a TRD OR is around $37k, a 12 pack of Budweiser is $11.99. Everything gets a slight markup due to shipping way in the middle of nowhere.
