My OR has automatic headlights, you just need to buy the correct package on the sport and OR to get it.

No car. Come on!! Lol. I went from a 2001 tundra SR5 4x4 (traded in for wife’s charger) to a Dodge Dart (wife’s old car we bought new) to my Tacoma. Never, EVER will I go back to a car!!

Carrying around my pressure washer and gear is now a breeze!! No more putting shit in the back seat cause it don’t fit in the trunk! Besides, you can haul stuff when needed. Like my sons old bed, we sold on Facebook for 100 bucks but they couldn’t come get it cause they have a car. They threw us an extra 10 spot to go 7 miles and bring it to them. Having a truck has its purpose!! If I hear of car crap again, I’m going savage!!!! :lalala:

Interesting, what is the package called? Premium? My old 1994 Cadillac had auto headlights. Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure my old 1992 Cadillac did too, c’mon Toyota hahaha!

I think you made a good choice on the SR5! It's great. I got my 2018 4x4 SR5 for 31.5k before TTL, but I'm also in the Midwest. Would expect your prices to be a bit higher in SoCal.

It is different now, on 2016 and 2017 it was 1 package called Premium and Tech. For 2018 and 2019 they are separate packages, 1 of them contains the automatic headlights

The Premium package has the auto headlights. I have a 2018 Sport with Tech package and I do not have have automatic headlights. I do have auto high beam, but being in the city it stays on low beam.

I went with the off Road 4x4 has more options . I got a good deal on mine so better bang for the buck. plus resale value will be better on a truck more equipped . I rather have it already than not having it and end up wanting it later .

The passenger side Smart door handle can be added, as well as a slimmer credit card sized key that fits in your pocket which would remedy the complaints you have about the smart key system.

Yes I’ve seen those options, thank you. I was just using the drawbacks of the upgrades to let the OP know he shouldn’t be too concerned about missing out on those options. Considering the cost of improving the function of those options, personally, I’d just assume not have them at all. Hopefully the OP saves the money where I failed to do so.

I love that the OP said what he was going to go forward with and people are still posting their opinion about what they should do.

    Like, so many.
Our dealerships offer an XSP package on the SR5. It’s an appearance package with grille, wheels, tires, badges, and predator steps. It looks really good. Maybe you could find something like that.
