Well, I have been over thinking tires for some time. Have gone back and forth about whether to get the KO2's, Duratrac's, or the Falken AT3 W"s. All seem to have their following. The size I will get is 265 75 16's. Well today I was visiting with a tire guy who told me that Goodrich is having a black Friday deal on several of their tires including the KO2's. The deal is for either three or four days (can't remember) starting Friday. Anyway, you get a $100 back if you buy four. I got a price of $790 four four mounted balanced and out the door. $100 back makes $690 (yes, I did that in my head) which is a smoking deal in my opinion. I'm scheduled for 8 AM Friday morning. My OEM Goodyear's have 25,000 and are still have about 6/32 but it's winter and screw it.

I only have 16,000 on my factory tires. And that’s after 2 years. At this rate I’ll be waiting another two years!!! I want me some KO2s, I just can’t justify it yet. ... yet!

Get the KO2, the duratrac is another strong option as opposed to Cooper, and Falken. Here's my 265/75/16 E-Rated:

$700 bucks is a great price. I ran BFGs for years but have always been warned of them on Toyotas. They are hard to keep balanced.

They are less useful than stock tires on snow and ice. Not suitable for lake effect snow areas.

Most tire shops around here give you a decent credit. The last time, they gave me $300 for the stock tires.

Its TW. People will go for visual appeal anyday over practicality ;-). Same as people lifting their trucks when it will never leave the pavement or the kids soccer ground.
