Switched to led headlamps and crammed 2 subs

 

Are those low profile subs? Ive been wanting to upgrade the sound system but it doesn't seem like there's sufficient space for descent sized sub woofers.

Yes they are two low profile 12s running 400rms each tied to 1000W amp i have tuned down. The door speakers are running 100rms each i think that puts around 1400w in the taco.

Its not a high dollar system but for under a grand installed it does the trick.

 

It's a place in houston tx that has them. Its located in the hood. Here's a better pic of the box.

 

Several questions.
What material is this made from?
Can it be used with the stock grab handles?
And since there appear to be only four mounting points, how much weight will this support?

Not intended to accept factory grab handles. As for weight limit, it’s steel and mounted with 4 rivet nuts. I’d be comfortable with 20-30 lbs evenly dispersed, but have not had the opportunity to mount everything yet.

Edit: it’s probably capable of holding much more. I don’t think the mounting points are the limiting factor - it uses rivet nuts. I’ve used a garmet hanger suspended by the factory grab handles with nearly 100lbs of heavy jackets and uniforms during a cross country move.

Rivet nuts are great. The rivet nut tool that I purchased not to long ago from Harbour Freight is the best tool I've purchased in a long time. For $19.99 it's a no brainer. Wish I had bought one years ago.
