    Hi All,

I am coming from a full sized 2012 F150 (Eco-boost) and despite the crappy engine, when it worked, it worked well.
It was fast and handled well on turns/curves - even when hitting Long Island NY pot holes. It was tight.
I got tired of bringing this pos to the dealer every 6 months and got into a 2017 Tacoma Off Road double cab.

My only major complaint is how this truck feels when hitting a bump/pothole on a highway/expressway. It is freakin horrendous. I feel like the back end of the truck is going to spin out. I have no confidence.
As I said above, the F150, when not broken, was great.

Does anyone have any idea how to improve this? I get it, it is a truck, but the freaking huge F150 handles so much better?

Do you have the tire pressure really high?

Yup, it will dance around when unloaded. I can't say I've gotten used to it, but at least I know what to expect. Also stock OR suspension, tires at 30psi.

    Put sandbags in it.

    Drive slower.

The Off-road has a soft suspension for Off-roading. The Sport is tuned for pavement. I have no complaints with my Sport with regards to handling.

The thing about that - yes it's a "plush" ride most of the time, but smallish sharp bumps in quick succession can unsettle the OR suspension. Larger dips/whoops are cake though, I suppose that's in the progressive nature of the springs/shocks.

Get some shocks off the Sport. It handles well.

Are you maxing out tire pressure? That’ll make that rear axle boogie...

    Thank you all.
Tire pressure is at 40. I bought this used and it came that way.
    Awesome.
I will air down when it isn't 21 degree out.

Air it down now. Your pressure falls as it gets colder out anyway. Put them down to about 30-32 and see how that feels.
