I went to McCoy's and they did good work on my alignment. Doesn't hurt that they're 300 ft. from my office

Due to mine being a 04 I've got to find a certain year 4runner for parts or a wrecked 04 Tacoma. So the hunt continues.

You mean for the transmission? I think a lot of people just use their existing trans and swap out the output shaft and tail piece.

I think I had about $175 in material in it. The only reason I decided to custom make it is I wanted to run the side boxes and none of the rtt racks would work.

Man I just thought it worked. I'm gonna go to a class to learn to weld(better than now) in January. Might have to get some measurements from you or drive down and get them myself at the next meet up.

Thanks for the info. I was going to ask @nDub if they actually aligned the truck or just said "it's within factory specs" and never touched a thing even when things are way off.

I asked them if they will align it to my specs. Absolutely was the reply. I have not had them align it yet but my boyfriend has taken his Tundra there and was super happy with the service. I have had them find a hole in my rim and they did it for free so they will get my business in the future.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Every time Matt and I talk we end up talking about what a great group of local people we have, and I just want to say it's a pleasure knowing each and every one of you. Last year about this time, I was fantasizing about having a truck like some I'd seen on here, and frustrated that I didn't have the knowledge or tools to do it myself. Today I catch myself looking at my truck in it's current state and thinking what a bad ass truck! You all made that happen, and while you've not been kind to my bank account, you've been kind to me, kind to each other, and kind to strangers in need of help, and that makes you all awesome in my book. Cheers to the 209!

I won’t speak to McCoy’s reputation. I haven’t had an issue with them but I know lots of people who have.

If you want a great alignment go see Clyde at Red Carpet in downtown Sonora.

This is where we have taken ifs toyotas for alignments, especially with custom suspension/steering parts. Even with worn out parts he will still align it, which many shops wont.

That's one issue I have had (and have heard others say about) McCoy. They don't seem to like to work with parts that have any wear on them.

Ok... so this is random of the top of my head. I want to do Morimoto demon eye headlights. Can I save money doing it myself. How the hell do I do it myself... and what the heck parts am I even looking at?

All the sites I'm finding have pictures of the parts but I'm not finding any pics on what the actual part looks like after install.

    :help:
