I am running 285/70/17x8.5 with -10 offset no lift I did do a lot of trimming and a cmc but I do not rub unless on hard hits. I know that the 285/75/17 is .5” bigger but shouldn’t matter

Funny, I was visiting my parents a month after I got my truck. We were having a BBQ and my mom forgot something so she had to run out. As I was watching from their deck, she backed out of the garage and backed into my trucks rear. Was all in slow motion. Back end lifted a little as she went under it as she quickly realized to stop. Left her Avalon with a few scratches and my truck was fine.

She was complaining at thanksgiving today about not being able to see out of her car and I said “you don’t say, mom...”

I know the feeling. Can’t really get mad.

Yeah, it happens. I parked wankey. I am still taking advantage to get the bumper (Honeybadger).

If I need suspension I will go that route. If I have to sit on the tires for a while as I save I will do that too. No Worries. I read a lot of back and forth on the matter of these tires fitting. Only one way to find out. I saw most people have good results with 285/75/16x8 0mm backspacing. So I am going to try that. Thanks for the advice.

    Welcome to TW!
All of what @Sharpish said. I have 285/70r17, should be the same overall dia as the 285/75r16 your getting. I have a 2.5" lift and it can take a lot to stop the rubbing. I'm still working on it and have caused a little damage to my front fenders from max stuffing. Need to trim more this weekend.
Its still pretty easy to drag a HC rear. :anonymous::rofl:

Sure man. I am prepared for anything. I am going to try. I will report back tomorrow! I think the 0mm backspacing might be the trick. If not, we will know tomorrow!
