yea looks like the main difference will be about 2.5 inches of width. i guess Ill go take a look at them (2 hours away) haha. I wish some one could speak from experience as to how much trimming would be necessary don't like the mud flaps any how too low. Thanks for your help.

Gotta love being married. She changed her mind and wants the Raceline 931Bs. Height, width, and backspacing are the same, and the hub bore is 106.1 instead of 108 on the Pro Comps.

931B-68060-00 is the part number for 16x8 6x5.5 +0 (4.5 backspacing) 33 pounds isn't very light, but it seems like every wheel has a drawback or two. Cheapest place I found them was $140 @ Walmart.

Summit Racing has them for $126 a piece. And damn, I just noticed that they weigh 3 pounds more than the Pro Comp 7031s. I wonder what that will do to mpg

5100's all around, OME 888 and Dakars. ProComp Series 05. Cooper SST Maxx 275s.
I need some advice and struggle with this concept.

Looking at the Pro Comp 05 Torq for my '18 OR

I plan to have OME 888 Springs, Bilstein 5100s and Cooper SST 285s. Will start with stock UCA's at this point.

They offer it in a few different configurations and I would like for them to stick out just a bit.

    • Wheel Size: 17x8
    • Bolt Pattern: 6 on 5.5
    • Backspace: 4.5
    • Offset: 0
    • Wheel Size: 17x9
    • Bolt Pattern: 6 on 5.5
    • Backspace: 4.75
    • Offset: -6
    Which would be better? thoughts?

Need help buying new rims, never done this before so all of the information in this thread is new. If i was to buy a set of rims I know I would need a bolt pattern of 6 lug 139.7 medium offset but what else will I need. Looking for a rim a certain style ( like the MT rims I added to this) and if anyone knows some similar rims that would fit it would be helpful.

Those Mickey Thompson's are item number 90000001792 (google it to find best prices)

You want a center bore of 106.1 (or very slightly larger). If you get an 8" wide wheel, you probably want a 0 offset (4.5" of backspacing)

If you go with the 9" wide wheel, you would probably want at least a -12 offset to keep the same backspacing as the 8" wide wheel with 0 offset.

I recently put on the bilstein 5100s with 887 coils and a single AAL and had to get bigger wheels/tires. I went a cheap route this time around as I was low on funds. When the tires wear out I'll probably get a more expensive set and put winter tires on these wheels, but this is what I've got for now.

    Raceline Surge 18x8 +15 with 265/70R18 Hankook Dynapro HT RH12 114T

I believe 265 is as wide as you can go with 5" of backspacing, but I don't have any plans to go with wider wheels, so I'm fine with that. Got a slight rub on the front passenger mud flap at full right turn, which doesn't concern me. It'll work itself out in a short amount of time.

I am a tire a wheel novice and would really appreciate your help. I have a 2017 Tacoma double cab SR5 4x4 with 245\75R16 tires and want to go to a taller tire and 17" wheels. Will a P255\75r17 on 17X8 with 25mm offset fit on my truck? Will I need a lift? Do I need a wheel with a different offset?

    Thanks,
    Robert

I’m not sure on the tires, but there are lots of threads indicating what sizes will fit. As far as the wheels, most people go with a 0 offset on 8” wide wheels. The +25 offset will actually bring your wheels closer to your suspension and inner sidewall than your stock wheels. I would suggest a smaller offset. A6EA9031-B126-4724-B27C-1B1A74618101.jpg

    Would appreciate any input:

2013 TRD Off Road - Completely Stock, no lift

Currently Running: 265/70/R16 with the standard 7" Wheel and +30 Offset

I am only looking to run 265/70/R17 with no plans on lifting or going to a larger tire down the road. Ideally I would like to be flush with the fenders or just a tad outside.

Looking at Raceline Clutch Wheels, there are two options. Both are 17x8.5 (Specific specs below). Which option would give me the stance I am looking for without worry of rubbing/trimming?

    upload_2018-9-25_13-38-44.jpg

OR What looks like a 0 Offset

    upload_2018-9-25_13-39-51.jpg

    0 Offset:

    upload_2018-9-25_13-42-18.jpg

    +18 offset:
    upload_2018-9-25_13-43-17.jpg

To visualize at home would I measure out 1.93" (49.1mm using the 0 offset) and 1.22" (Using the +18 offset) from the edge of my stock wheel to guage where I will be with my fender?

    Thanks in Advance!

Would love your input on this. I have currently:
    -2017 Tacoma Double Cab SR5 4x4
-Bilstein 6112/5160, 2.5" front lift (6th clip position), 1.5" rear
    -16" Level 8 MK6 wheels
    -BFG KO2 265/75/16 tires

    About to go to:
    -17" Helo HE901 wheels; 17x9, -12 offset, 4.5" backspacing
    -BFG KO2 285/70/17 tires

Am I going to run into rubbing issues?
If so, will getting a higher lift, perhaps going to 3" lift, solve this problem? I'd like to avoid any cutting if possible.
What alignment settings should I have Discount Tire set them to?

Thanks so much for your help on this.
    -Brian

The same shit everyone else has.
Super close to pulling the trigger on a new set of wheels and tires for my truck.

99% sold on a set of 285/75s on a set of 16x8s. The wheels come in et-10, or roughly 4” backpacking.

Looking for some good info and pictures of this specific set up.

I’ve seen a handful of trucks running this combo, but most of the pictures showing how far the wheels stick out aren’t the best. I’ve done the math and have a measurement on how far out they stick compared to my current wheels but I’d still like to see some photos for better visualization.

I’m interested in seeing how far out past the fenders they stick, especially from the front of the truck.

Also interested in hearing how much trimming there was with a 3” front / 2” rear lift.

    Thanks.

Just wanted to throw this tidbit out there. I've been running 285s on a 17x9" wheel with an offset of -6mm and backspacing of 4.75", and I'm lead to believe the offset and backspacing are the reason my bearings are wearing incredibly fast. Looking at switching to a positive offset with a 17x8, and maybe a 275/70 tire.

Will the stock TRD Beadlock wheels bring you closer or further away from the UCAs? My plan would be to run 255/80/17
