Have a Ben W. Window slider kit. Sorry can’t remeber the full name of the “kit”. I purchased a switch for it that will come with it also. Asking $160. Awesome kit. I never realaized how awesome it was to use the window until I installed this

Last week. Truck was labeled “totaled” due to alignment bolt being bent where the frame is and insurance wouldn’t cover the fix.

Mechanics stated it was bent on a weak spot and since Tacoma’s are one single welded frame it would need a complete frame swap to fix.

Just throwing it out there. I had a similar issue with the alignment bolt tab being bent out of shape. Took it to tacoma they tried to tell me my truck was totaled. Took it to the local 4x4 shop they said oh yeah this happens all the time. an hour later they had welded the tab on stronger than before. Just saying the alignment bolts are completely replaceable. The week welded tabs that hold the control arm to the frame are subject to bending and often fail. Common with tacoma's that actually see trail use.

yeah i was extremely surprised that they had labeled it totaled after just a little bend like that. They actually quoted me at 13k for the repair since id need a "frame swap". These single welded frames with no subframe dont make much sense but than again they still have drum brakes on a 2019 truck also

drum brakes are for increased durability. Instead of having to inspect your rear brakes ever 10,000 miles or so and replace pads every 30,000 or so, you get to inspect the drum brakes ever 25,000 miles and replace them at around 100,000.

Ditto, good reliability if they work. Not with my driving are you getting 100k out of a set of shoes
Lets round that off to more of 15-20k for me :D
I would much rather have discs on all 4 and pay for new pads, resurface, and install myself every 25-35k miles than deal with the internals of the drums and the head aches that come with literally an ounce + of brake dust pouring out each time I open them up, plus never mind that I'm having issues with my adjusters. I've replaced all the hardware and cylinders twice on both sides and my drums still don't self adjust properly, im either constantly trying to adjust from the rear dust shield or actually pulling the wheels and drums off every ~6k miles.
