The seats are horrible. I can't understand why Toy won't use the 4R seats.

Search here too, for seat risers. There’s a fella that sells some risers for the back two mount points for the seats. Changes the angle of the cushion and could be a cheap solution if that’s the issue.

I went from an ‘08 Taco to a ‘19 (Gift from other half). I’m short and the seat feels like a 2x4 is jammed in my lower back. When off-reading I hit the top of the cab and got a headache/neck ache that lasted for an Effie week. Toyota said there is a reduced amount of headroom and that seating was designed for 5’8” to 6”.I took the seat to an upholster who removed lumbar support and replaced with memory foam on the back part of the bucket seat. He also changed the back of the butt cushion to softer cushioning for tailbone. He then had a fabricator remove rail hump on floor board and welded in a flat rail attachment for added head space. He moved the hump to the back of the floor board to straighten the angle of the seat to zero degrees so knees aren’t in your gut. Cost $600 but I would have paid 2X that for the change in comfort. He took the measurements from my ‘08 and fab’ed from there.... just a possibility

i did just the re-contouring of the base foam at an upholstery shop experienced in seat fitting. totally fixed me up, super comfortable, $200. done once and done right. i didn't need to adjust the height or anything so that's all i needed.

This isn't something that 3rd gen owners suffer alone. 1st gen owners will drag their balls through broken glass to buy a truck that's damn near rusted in half and has under a 100k before looking at better high milage examples.

I don't know how good of an idea it is to put in aftermarket seats, that would mess with all the crash safety engineering that went into the seat design

Buy a Cadillac to drive, keep the truck for once a month drive. Most guys will tell you the 3rd gen interior including the seats were better than the 2nd Gen's tupperware interior, which is it.

I put in wet okole seat covers and they have good cushioning and they protect the seats. They also look awesome!
