    Bummer man.

I guess it’s harder to do the right thing sometimes.

I know it’s hard, but try to stay positive. Maybe you can get a sweet bumper now

I have a Thinkware f200 camera. I purchased it from Bestbuy, its on sale right now for $119.. It comes with front and rear camera and it has motion and parking lot detection. About 2 months ago a woman backed into my truck and slightly dented the bumper, the camera recorded the entire thing, got her plate and went to the cops. So it paid for itself.

Had someone do that to my Scion years ago, came out on my lunch break from work to find my car side swiped. No note, nothing

After hanging around for a half hour making calls this dude in a $100k BMW rolls up and tells me it was his wife that did it, she freaked out and came home to get him. I was pissed at first but he was cool about it so I let the hit and run aspect go, he ended up paying for all the damage (about $6k) in cash.

Sorry to hear about your luck, people by and large suck in general...

Because people are assholes. Someone sideswiped my sister's minivan a few years ago at a light and bolted. Sadly, we never caught them.

Last year there was an accident near my house. Fortunately I was working in my backyard and ran out front in time to see someone flying up the street with the radiator pouring all over the place. Turns out he was well known to the police..

How is it in overcast weather and at night? I can't seem to find a camera that does well with the tinted glass... it basically forces it to bump the ISO for the exposure or something and they get grainy as hell.

Any neighbors have a camera that may have picked up the accident?

That sucks, at least the husband had the decency to come back. I can see how people get freaked out and scared, but that’s what insurance is for. Unless they were under the influence or something there really isn’t any reason to freak out and run. Even then it’s still shitty to just take off.

I suspect she was drunk, she hit the car parked behind me as well. Her husband was some rich Hollywood producer (famous maybe, I dunno). Happened around noon in Beverly Hills where I used to teach Adobe software classes...I'd be willing to bet she was an alchy and was day drunk and didn't want to get caught

People in general will always do what they can to avoid getting in trouble if they think they can get away with it. People are selfish / self serving.

You know our state is terrible about hit in runs in general. I got hit in run a few months ago. I was in the store buying a surf board leash and came out to scratches all along my front bumper and fender.

Some people are selfish assholes... sorry man... just a fact of life. Only thing we can do is not be one of those selfish assholes.

Hope your insurance doesn't hike your rates up too far

I got hit in run once and someone wrote on the note. Hey bro my bad, I’m just writing this note to make it look like I’m giving my info cause someone seen me do it. Sorry I don’t have insurance.
