I could use some better lighting, but I doubt those would work when it gets cold here.

Yeah I know you did that. Funny as I was looking at them right as you did them. Those these were what I was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/Double-Tube-...ch-Warehouse/dp/B01DBFG1TO?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_6

the ones you got are single tubes and also way cheaper..

Also...you got a wire hanging down there :p clean that shit up! :D

Whys that? My garage isn't heated so I need mine to work..never had issues with LED in cold temps before..

Yeah saw the mounting. Much easier. Wish the extension cables were longer but can order other ones. Not worried about height too much as i will never open the tent in this garage, it would never fit ha

Also with the 8 pack was available in 4000k.

trust me, yours wouldn't fit either haha

I wouldn't mind a more yellow/orange light. its better for your eyes and less fatiguing.

light temp is funny as it varies a lot by wattage and what you're using. I think its funny. Temperature is a big deal for filming. And its always a problem matching colors.

Well went with the 8 pack. More that what I need I think. But I had planned on using one on my indoor work bench for soldering. Maybe use two.

Also got a new stool for the solder station. have a bunch of projects to build this winter.

I'll likely do a U shape and do groups of 2 in the garage. I'll use the longer cords I bought to spread them out. Or I'll just do 3 rows of 2. The garage has a weird ceiling so idk what will work best.

Before and after lol...pitch black...and then light haha there is only the garage door opener light in there now.

yeah I like that about them. Will see. Not planning on doing a lot of work in there so I don't need it to be perfect. I prefer indirect light in the shop like my Dads more anyways. But I'll worry about that when I have my own real shop next year.

There is no getting around needing work lights like these: https://www.amazon.com/Snap-922261-...id=1543205952&sr=1-28&keywords=LED+work+light

we had about 6 at the big shop on adjustable homemade stands so they could be like 4' high to 8' or something. Plus a couple not on stands. Was a different model too..but still.

Thats how a lot of my photos at that place are lit up haha and why there is weird color temperature with half the photo blue and half yellow as the overhead lights were yellower.

Still, having a couple of lights like those around to shine and opposing angles can be very helpful. and of course the ever hand hanger light or two is also super handy.

I like my cheapo home Depot led lights. Makes it so I only need my floods when working under the car.

    1015181745.jpg

Makes it super bright, like working on the engine I don't need the light I used to clamp on the roof.

Ive done the start on Frank. It is not fun for sure.

I don't wear a head lamp usually when wrenching. Might have to try, generally don't need it much though.

I don't think the portion of Toyota that designs and builds the 4Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra ever figured out how to make ABS work at all. All the Toyota larger vehicles with it that I've driven have had horrible ABS behavior, in the 2nd gen it's actually dangerous. Maybe the newer disc brake tundra and 4runner do better with it.

I regret ripping mine out, should have made just a kill switch for it. It worked fine enough in the snow. Was annoying in other situations though, much to heavy handed. Was early in the game for ABS though. Can't really blame them.

if ABS is being used? I don't know..didn't think so..

Odd way to reset it though..ha

Speaking of which, I got my Scangauge in, not bad for 80 bucks haha need to get it hooked up. Be nice to see what the tranny temps are and how much gas I have left. About the only thing I really will use it for.

It may not on a 99 but it is still easy to make it blink its codes on the light with a paperclip. Probably a wheel speed sensor

You won't need one unless you start abusing it offroad. As a commuter its not needed. I just did it because it was a good time to do it. same with the radiator..which Im not thrilled about.

Was a good deal, figured why not. The gas left is handy I think, Mike used his a lot this last trip and has in previous trips to know really when he needs to put in a fiver. Was funny this time as he got by far the worst mileage of the group.
