About a month ago I picked up a new 2018 Double Cab Off Road and am now sitting at just under 2000 miles. One thing I have noticed since day one is that whenever I shut the truck off and step out of it, there seems to be some kind of hum/buzz that lasts for just a second or two and then it goes away coming from the drivers side. If you sit in the truck for the few seconds you cannot hear it inside the cab, only outside. I will try to get a video up later today of it.

Anyone else with a 2018 or 3rd gen hear this same noise or am I going crazy?

I have the same thing happen. Dealer said nothing to worry about. I didn't ask what it was.

    Emissions related. No worries.

When you shut the vehicle off there will be relays and computer related stuff powering down. This is not like the old days of killing fuel and spark and its off. You also have an emission test that will run after about 5 hours of shutting down, so don't be alarmed if you hear a pump running with the truck parked.

What mod are you talking about? I've not seen that one anywhere on here.

Stand by your truck about 5 hours after you shut it off and you will hear it run a test too.

I hear that as well on my 2018 Sport.. Though it sounds more like a hissing sound; to me anyway. It sounds like it's coming from under the vehicle near truck bed. Anyway, I could have sworn that I read something about this here on this site and that it was perfectly normal. I wouldn't worry about it.
