    Morning

I have a brand new Taco, should I paint the rear drums so they dont rust over time and look bad? Has anyone done it with pics? Paint suggestions? Im assuming Fluid Film probably wont cut it as the drums heat up.

    Thanks in advance!

If you make them a color and match up your front calipers, as well as the hat on the rotors, it would be very 70's chic.

If you paint them black, or rebuilders cast (yes, that's a color), that would 'hide' them a bit.

The are basically a slab of cast iron. Rust will be surface in nature and inconsequential to performance.

It's more important to keep them clean and adjusted inside the drum than purdy on the outside. That said, I've painted drums before, for cosmetic reasons.

I used Duplicolor ceramic caliper paint. Held up fine so far.
