Northern Virginia Roll Call

I’ve been around some of those roads getting to mountain bike trails. Mostly fire roads. If you find hone quarry on a map that road keeps going westish for a few miles and gets a little rougher but nothing too hard, at least a few years ago it did. There are a few camping spots down there too with tree cover if you ever want to get away from the wind on the knobs.

 

ive been down there a little bit. But dont ask me how to get there. I was following @Urineovrurhead who still has my paper map

 

Haha is it a nay geo map? Those are really good for that area

You should be able to. I’ve only been north of 33 a few times. There are some interesting roads up near Basye, Virginia, where north of Bryce resort.

Last time I was out that way, was around 12 years ago. Dumb shit happened. Had to get a flatbed. And we got one out there because my father owned a wrecker, as he did repo. It was in a 93 Sahara.

The trail we went down had a pit the length of a f250, as deep as the bottom of a steering wheel on a jeep with 33 tsl's. Was not a fun walk to get signal. IIRC it was like 2-3 miles from the road.

 

I believe that section was right on the other side of WV, and was closed a few years later.

 

Skipping forward... Been out of pocket since Wednesday last week. I miss anything?

I actually just smeared mud everywhere and let it dry. I sure fooled you guys!

 

My truck hides dirt.

Wet mud and road grime show really bad. Same with wet gravel roads
