    How it sits currently:

Before owning a Tacoma I had always liked them, as well as all Toyota pickups, ever since seeing Marty McFly's badass Pickup in Back to the Future I've loved them. Tacomas always have had this image as the adventure trucks to me, but Tacomas were always on another level outside my price range. Before this I had a Dodge that was pretty much just crap. Got fed up with it and took the plunge for my dream truck. Found this truck in Nashville, Tennessee with 91,000 miles on it and knew it was the one. Picked it up in November of 2013 to replace my 98' Dodge 1500 as swear words weren't fixing the many things breaking on it (most of the drivetrain). Since then I've put about 100,000 miles on it. And after a day or two on this website I caught the mod bug. The basic plan for this truck is to be a reasonably economical DD but have good off-road capability and can easily be camped out of.

Thanks man! I'd love to put some black surround halos in mine but they're so damn expensive!

Your not kidding about that. I think mine were $220. I recieved them as payment for work I did. I really wanted them but if I would've taken the cash instead I would still have the stock headlights. I love the TRD "beadlocks" though. They make the truck look so good.

Gotta love a BSP access cab. I really like the oldschool mud flaps.

Thanks man! I didn't like the look of the stock ones, but still wanted flaps to keep some of the salt from winter off the body. The rear ones are too short to have much protection, so I'll probably put on a pair of 1st gen flaps on the back when I find a nice set.

Put in the order for an LCE Header today! Hoping to not have to downshift on every tiny ass incline on the road anymore.

Alright 3 years later it's time to reup the thread. So how much has been done to the truck in three years?
    Absolutely nothing.
However, a few months ago my girlfriend and I hatched a plan to do an overlanding/expedition trip across the country. So I sold a Cummins that I'd bought and now we're cooking with grease!
    So far I've ordered:
    ARB Bumper
    KC 8 inch HiLites
    Icon Stage 1 Lift
    Light Racing UCAs
    4xInnovations Sliders

And in the near future I will be ordering/making:
    Bestop or Softopper
    Rear Tube Bumper (maybe)
    255/85r16 BFG KM2

Putting everything on at my buddy's shop in Charlotte within the next few weeks and will be sure to take lots of photos. Good to be back.

Rings are dickered on the little glaucoma, she's now burning a quart every week. Not gonna replace it, the frame is a tad rusty and I'm running out of gears I can downshift into with all the weight of the bumper. HELLOOOO V6. Will be selling some of my parts here in the coming weeks. DM me for anything you might want.
