    Yep! Wasn’t sure if this was a loaded post for ridicule. Lol! I spend twenty years in retail so this is technically later than I’m use to seeing it go up but, now that I’m no longer in retail I can enjoy it for a change.

    No ridicule here. Really nice tree.
    I grew up with a tradition the tree got put up the day after Thanksgiving. All of this stuff going up Sept 1st drives me crazy. Just shows no body is interested in anything but my wallet.:cheers:

    Agreed. My parents wouldn’t touch the Christmas stuff until after the thanksgiving turkey was eaten.

    In my version of my childhood we would get the tree right around thanksgiving and put it up and decorate it after thanksgiving dinner. I doubt that’s how it really went but that’s the nostalgic Christmas memory I stick with.

    I got one of those Christmas tree tags which allows us to go out into the national forest and cut down our own tree. Old lady is excited. She keeps saying it’s going to be an adventure. All I hear is we’re not taking my truck out into nature enough.

    More like “we have been walking FOREVER can’t we just pick like.... THIS ONE?” She’ll say while pointing at a tree that is in fact not a pine tree.

    Meanwhile the truck would still be visible given we only walked 1/4 of a mile.
