    Hey all,Just wanted to post up a few pics of some big super wet firewood loads.1st one is Madrone(my favorite)looks like pink salmon when 1st cut fresh.2nd one is some super big oak rounds some where bigger than 24” diameter and too heavy to lift into truck after bucking up.So I had to split rounds by plunge cutting saw really far then using a wedge n sledge hammer! Good stuff and hard work to get home to split and get seasoned.

    Brought home a load of "orange" the other day.
    Osage orange / hedge apple - Hardest and most dense wood in North America. Also happens to be highest BTU/lb wood in North America. You can actually see sparks when you cut this stuff when it is dry. Extremely heavy. I hope to get it split in the next few days -not by hand- thank heaven. They say it gets super hard to split the drier it gets. Branches are used a ground contact fence posts in many parts of the country, that last for decades.IMG_0005.jpg IMG_0013.jpg IMG_0016.jpg

    I don't have a 3rd gen, but I use my 1st gens for roofing work every day. I pile tons of stuff in the back, including 25 bundles of shingles, and at 80lbs per bundle it doesn't stuggle at all.

    I didn't think to take pictures, but I'll do it next time, because I do it pretty often if the crane can't deliver! I think in this pic, a bunch of them had been unloaded by then.     Are you using airbags or just letting the stock suspension flatten out onto the axle? That seems unbelievable to have 2k in the back of the truck. I would think that will damage something... Axle tube, wheel bearings, bump stops, etc,... That is a ton of stress (no pun intended) on that little truck.

    Just stock. The frame is rotten but was welded with heavy gauge steel so it's pretty strong, but it's more of a beater truck, so if anything happens I don't really care :thumbsup:

    taking our SpaBerry hot tub to a different location. Built a wood frame using double 2x4's in the bedside pockets and 4-2x10's notched under the 2x4's. Added 2x10 bed extenders, secured with lag bolts. Worked beautifully!
