It's a 50" and I don't want to mount it anymore. Planning on moving to two 10" S8's and custom fitting them to a prinsu. I've been posting the thing to overland market like crazy but no bites.

I just placed an order for a @SouthernStyleOffRoad bumper with the 30" S8 Bar! I watched your video and definitely want to have that option. However I did have a few questions...You say you had it for a while but had not wired the amber back lights...what was the purpose of splicing the wires? Can the switch control whether to turn on the full light bar or just the amber lights? (i ordered mine with the rocker switch)

The S8 harness has two switches on it. Haven't had a chance to watch the cid but if George spliced the wires it was probably for the lights to come on with the stock DRLs. Otherwise, they would only come on by the switch.

You can definitely use the rocker switch. And yes my light and setup did come with a rocker switch, but I didn’t want to deal with turning it on manually. So I figured why not splice and use with my oem drls. So far I’m liking it like that better.

 

So just so I understand...If i were to wire it normal, I can still run them with the DRL, but I would have to use the aftermarket switch in tandem with the DRL stock switch?

With the way you have it wired now, can you run just the ambers in your bar, as well as just the full bar?

 

That is correct. When @Bustabeatgeorge turns on his DRLs the lights come on rather than needing an additional switch. Then he likely has an auxiliary switch to turn on full bar.

 

Is it possible to use a Ch4x4 push on off swich for the led bar. Then another push switch for the amber DRL? I have an extra slot and might as well have custom switch for it. Just ordered the bar and harness.

 

The harness has two switches I believe. I don't see why not.
