    Stock for now
I just purchased a 2018 Double Cab cement TRD OR. The stock wheels and tires gotta go, so down the wormhole I go. My plan is to order a set of 16X8 SCS Ray10s and to mount 265/75r16 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. I don't want to raise the truck up a lot, it sits about right. I will be changing the shocks/springs to level the front and allow me to add some more weight and maybe improve ride quality blah blah blah. Am I gonna rub with this setup? Any info or pics if you are running this setup would be greatly appreciated.

That combo would be close to the same height, but the rim width, offset, back spacing etc.. would be different. Thanks for the response though.

You will barely rub at 3/4 turn over a curb. More people in the car, more easily it will rub at turn. If you remove the front mud flaps this should resolve it all unless your super flexed and 3/4+ turned.

I was in the trails today, nothing crazy but just to test out the rubbing on something other than pavement...did fine. Ray 10's/Wildpeak 265-75-16 OR DCSB 2018.

Thanks for the response. My tires showed yesterday and the wheels will be here Friday so I’ll get to experiment. Still up in the air on lift. 1 to 1 1/2 in the front would be perfect and maybe 3/4 inch in the rear. Really looking for better ride quality on the trail and to just level it.

Still got em on, still barely rub. It bothers me every now and then...more of an annoying/embarrassed thing, but its just barely some plastic on the rubber. I kept em on for the winter cause of all the crap and salt where i am.

Thanks for reply. I have the ray10s on stock Goodyear’s and the wildpeak is the next set. Is rubbing just on the flaps or in front wheel well too on turns? I have a dilemma....I can only either get an RTT or a suspense lift. 1st world Tacoma problems. Lol

Just the flaps. If it was the actual body of the vehicle I'd be pretty upset because no one else reported that before I made my purchase, haha. If you're just light wheeling or running trails, you'll be fine. Honestly, I'm about to get the suspension lift...maybe closer to spring when I save up more $$. You would get more capability out of the lift, down the road you can find a used RTT...people are always getting rid of them because they do come with their own set of responsibilities.

Although by end of year you'll have both anyways :spending:

Thanks for the input here guys! Been searching for this answer all weekend looking thru the wrong threads apparently.just got me sr8s in 16x8 and looking to install with either the stock good years or upgrade to 265/75 wildpeaks. I was praying for no rub! I don’t have flaps so I hope it’s true

I'm sure you've removed the mud flaps by now. No rubbing on the body or just barely?

Nothing to worry about man, its so minuscule, no lift, even a couple mm would make a difference so she only rubs on the most full locked turn with flex or a little off-roading. You won't mind if you have the same setup.

Edit: keep the flaps if you want to protect the body from rocks. The rub is only at critical times. If you add stuff (adding sliders/skids + racks or a tent you should consider new suspension)

Think you could get away with 275/70R17. On those ray10s??
