Is it true that 3rd Gen Tacomas are watertight up to the doorknobs?

This would probably and if anything, heavily depend on the water pressure as well.

    Yes.

Now about that bridge I have for sale.............the bridge is 1st class, and I know the guy that holds title.

But seriously. I don't know your info source for this 'watertight' foolery, but the lesson would be to question everything they pass to you as 'fact'.

Just like you did with this.

    Nope.

Disclaimer: Not 100% sure how high the water got. Looked pretty close to the handles. But either way, the door seals are no different than other trucks. It'll keep the water out for a little bit, but it is not water tight.

Only the Snorkel on the PRO is watertight... LOL. But would think that something should exist somewhere to upgrade to watertight. If not, just wear chest waders and be done with it.

    Actually there are Two ways.
First is to drive it in water up to the handles as I would guess you we're thinking, but there is a second way. That is to go backward thinking and fill the cab with water to see if it holds or leaks out the outside.

There are openings all over the cab. Vents in back, body pinches underneath, grommets that are not 'water proof'. Seats and seat belt bolts have no seal..............

BTW even scuba watch Co's. will admit there is no such thing as 'water proof' only water resistant.

Yes, just make sure not to get the Center high brake light wet or the cab will flood.

True, even a shower has sufficient pressure to overcome a 30m rating. Better dive watches utilize a screw down crown.
