WUf4kI5PSIiwWNumfAhB1Q.jpg JawP1%vdSpqtt41OYPPg4g.jpg Hello! I just got my new 2019 TRD Off Road Cav Blue double cab short bed, and they forgot to disarm my alarm. I have to bring it back in to get a second key fob, but I'm afraid they may "remember" to disable the alarm. Can they do that?

Were you not supposed to have an alarm?

I told the dealer no on everything, alarm, paint protection, extended warranty, etc. Then I saw a little module on my kick panel, did research on this forum and did an inside the car alarm test. I was surprised when the alarm went off, so i guess they failed to turn it off/deactivate.

That alarm on the kick panel is the dealership installed remote deactivation module. Thats how salesman are able to get in and out of every car with one remote and also be able to deactivate the vehicle if someone tries to drive away with it. (buddy works at dealership)

But they do charge you extra for using it. So they may have forgotten to deactivate it. It's up to their discretion since it's their service you "should" have paid for.

No problem, I believe most of us have the module. My 17' had one and my 18' now does too, except now it blinks all the time.

Do you have labels on the front door windows for the Toyota Factory Alarm? If you do, it has the factory alarm which isn't the same as that Karr thing.

Pretty sure your truck should have a factory alarm standard on a TRD with tech package which it looks like you have based on those parking sensors and painted bumper.
