Woo more fodder for the Heep hate. Take it lightly, we mean it playfully.

For some pretty cool 3rd gen accessories go look at this site. Most of his stuff stays sold out as he runs them in batches and they go quick. He has for sale ads on here that are updated quicker than the site.

I do already have the shackles. Got some red ones to hang off the front to give it a little more flare.

Same here, love those damn things. I’m fixing to retrofit them though. I’m not a fan of the connectors. So, stay tuned tuned @ovrlndkull

So you don't like the bulb connectors? Yeah you could always hardwire them. He did those connectors so if people wanted to go back to stock they could. I'm not a huge fan of the connectors either.

I’m not all that concerned with them, it’s the slip fit connectors coupled with the shrink wrap that eats up so much room and makes for an awkward install.

Just got me a cobra cb. Any suggestions for an antenna? 3, 4, or 5 ft?

Depends on where you want to mount it. Shorter looks better on the hood but if you want it off the back then 5 should do you fine. That’s what I run and it gets 2/3 of the antenna above the cab from bed rail height.

I highly recommend an antenna spring wherever you decide to mount it, as tree limbs can wreak havoc on whips that don't have much flex. Like so:

    What hasn't been modified?
Don’t forget to get a good ground plain.
And if you decide to bed rail mount it it needs to be grounded (ground strap and not a wire) And make sure you TUNE the antenna

Not sure if anyone ever does meetups, but if so, I wouldn't mind meeting other Taco owners and possibly beating up the trucks somewhere. Speaking of that, any good trails in the area? Obviously not to technical for me yet until I get more mods, but certainly looking to finally get the truck dirty.

If you want to meetup we can get a few trucks together for lunch or a URE run. We don't like to beat up our trucks, so if that's what you want to do then we will watch and take vids.

Haha, fair enough, my truck is only a month old so I can certainly appreciate that, i guess i meant more of just having fun, but yeah, I'm certainly interested. Where abouts?

Oh, cool, never been there. I'm down, let me know when you guys decide to go. It's about a 2 hour drive for me to get there.
