Yah but not the same as the newer trucks with that safety sensor. The 17’ manual says images...how else would they do that?

 

I have a 2017, no sensor, the TSS stuff started on the 2018s.

 

Ahhh...well...where are they getting photos from “outside the vehicle”

 

I imagine they can pull images from both cameras. With all of the sensors, imaging, and vehicle instrumentation, they can get a pretty interesting set of data.

It’s only a matter of time before every new car becomes google streets.

 

I think he was referring to Tacoma's that only have the backup camera.

 

I thought the topic was on the page from the 18 and 19 owners manual.

It basically covers forward and rear facing imaging sensors.
