If only they made the Habitatrack for the Tacoma Access Cab I’d be ordering one today.

Wouldn't the size of this one be just right? On the access cab you have to drill your own mounting holes anyhow, I believe. Might just work?

I have a Habitat on the truck too, maybe be able to modify it, but will contact Prinsu.

I know you have a Habitat, lol. Just that the Habitat on the Double Cab reaches further over the cab, whereas on the Access Cab it has less overhang due to the swap between bed space and cab space. So I think the location of the roof rack, from windshield to the front of the habitat should be close to the same. But yeah, definitely calling Prinsu would be the best bet!

Lol wow, a whole whopping $30 difference from the full cab rack. Pretty much what I expected. Can't believe it took them years for this. I should have bought mine and cut it way sooner than I did, but I'm still glad I did it instead of waiting for this.

Edit: just looked at the site, it's actually more? Even says on sale and the damn thing is still more expensive than what I paid. Stupid

They've definitely gone up in price... maybe since CBI took over from Prinsu? 640 is now the price on the Double Cab rack. Still far cheaper than most anything else out there. So many things I want to add... awning is still my priority for next mod.

That's right, we're on the AT Habitat thread. Anyway, I wrote them and hopefully will hear back soon. Would like to have it before my trip to Anza Borrego at the end of December.

Apparently accessories are trying to keep up with the rate Tacomas are going up in price.

Yeah i got mine awhile ago and just cut the damn thing down. They like a lot of people are making thier money while they can the fad of Overlanding ie camping will slow and the profits will too. Im ok with that, cream will rise and crap will hopefully go away. less people and noise on the trail. Of course this is what im asking Santa for.

Coming off the macgruder and ran into a pair of trucks, first was a lifted sports mobile ford van, second was a ram, both oil burners. Saw the CA plated stopped along side. Dude had his flat brimmed hat and used “hella”. Sigh, SoCal, this will be fun.

After we chatted he goes “You on instagram bro?!” Nope, I stay off most social media. “Chaa that hella sucks bra, laterz”.

I took a pic of a taco with what I think was a Summit on it today so I could post on the washington oregon truck spotting group, but it made me remember I shared a roundabout with a 3rd gen with a Habitat in Ellensburg back on Friday the 16th I think it was. Only the second Habitat I've seen on the road.

Still have yet to see another one aside from at the AT shop.... I know when I was up in Oregon (specifically Bend) earlier this year I was blown away with all of the Toyotas/ Subarus with RTTs... Here in Reno I might see an RTT once a day, in Bend it seemed like dozens.

I have had probably 50 people ask me what the habitat was, and alot of "is that a camper?"

Have only had one person know what it was and he was in a Taco.

When I see another habitat this will be me

Contacted overland mercantile yesterday to see if they possibly ever come across any used habitats. And it just so happens a guy is wanting to upgrade to the clam shell design and is looking in at trading his habitat. They couldn’t remember the bed size but liam at overland mercantile reached out with a email to the owner. If its the same bed size and a decent price i may have a habitat soon.
