Well, the cops would’ve shot the dog. So that would’ve been the blood drawn.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
...^^^.. Mine had a manual 4WD floor shift selector that I could engage the 4WD up to about 60 MPH ... coupled with a 4 speed in the floor.

I got bumped in the side on a (sudden freezing of black ice) on the Trans_Canada and all traffic was doing about 70 MPH. After getting bumped, we skidded and just missed the end of the guard rail and went behind it and over a hill and into a creek typing drainage ditch well below the freeway (about 100' off the road and in this muddy-icy ditch).

I was sure we were stuck there forever ... but I put it in low and plowed up the muddy and semi frozen hill ... UNBELIEVABLE.

Other times ... when cars got stuck in the parking lot and I routinely pulled them out.

I loved that little car ... but whoever designed the interior must have been on drugs or color blind or both ... horrible designs and colors on the interior.

Oh ... it had a weird Cyclops Type Light in the middle of the grill with a cool trap door over it with the Subaru Logo on it .. a true WTF design o_O

My friend bought a used higher-mileage Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD for just $3,500. It is either a 2008 or a 2009 (I forget) and it is LOADED (Heated leather, sunroof, DVD, etc). It has maybe 130K miles as of this posting, but it runs and drives great. The A/C is ICE COLD, the heat works great, and everything else functions as it should.

My friend was recently the victim of a hit-and-run while the Pilot was parked outside his workplace, and he is lamenting about whether to notify his insurance company, pay out of pocket to fix the damage, or just not fix it. The damage does not affect the vehicle at all in terms of drivability or safety; It just looks like shit!

My friend paid considerably less for the vehicle than it is actually worth, and we believe actual cash value is at least $5,000-$6,000. It may actually be worth closer to $8K. My friend paid $3,500 cash for the Pilot (he got a DEAL) and has a clear title in hand, and he does have full coverage (comprehensive, collision, etc).

Do you think it's worth it to fix, and does anybody think the insurance company would total it out?

I only put 100 miles on my truck in a week...

    IMG_0344.jpg

During the summer, I was putting 100-300 miles on my truck per weekend. Between the end of the June and beginning of August this year, I put almost 2,000 miles on my truck! Man, I hate winter...

how does an interior survive 600K and still look that pristine?
I mean, an ass had to be in that seat for that long. That an average of 10,000 hours or 416 days total spent sitting in that seat if you average it at 60 mph.
Over a year of sitting in one spot and it still looks like new.

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Looks like a fat amount of body work. The insurance company might rather cut him a check.

Insurance companies are weird, it would suck if they totaled it over that.

If he can get more than what he paid for it, that would be epic, but the thing is the Pilot is in perfect working condition.
