    The east coast is so recognizable, I see there is also no market for white pine in Maine (2nd to last picture) we also leave it standing after a harvest

    As a left coaster with our tall evergreen covered mountains its always interesting to see what things look like on the opposite coast. It got me looking at google pics of Mt Kahtadin. Very rocky and wide open, like the surface of Mars. It's crazy how there are no steep slopes over there. Everything is rolling and gentle.

    I love living in Texas & will probably never move to a different state but I'm jealous as hell of all the beautiful landscape y'all have. I love the mountains and there are absolutely none here. I guess that's the reason for traveling! Keep these great pics coming. They're inspiration for my next trip. Hoping to do the PCH next summer from Texas thru Grand Canyon past Hoover Dam over to central Cali. then north to the Canadian border. We'll camp along the way driving ~12hrs then camping a day or 2 then repeat all the way there & back.
