Did you ever get around to doing the MC?
I have one on the way. Trying to make a game plan for adjusting the push rod since the service manual instructions use an accessory tool (spacer) that comes with new replacement Tacoma MCs. Guessing that procedure won’t work with the Sequoia part if it even comes with the tool.

I’ll be getting to it within the week. Hoping I don’t have to tinker too much. I’m getting tired of tinkering.

Do you have a good technique/lesson learned for setting rod depth with the MC kit?

Same. May try something else this time. Pad wear seems excessive to be honest.
Luckily there are quite a few options for our calipers.

Big success installing the SOS Sequoia master cylinder. Noticeable stopping power and a firmer pedal which I wasn’t expecting.

Sizing the length of the pushrod adapter took a little time, but nothing difficult.

I removed the o ring from the adapter plate then started with the longest adjustment screw all the way out and kept adjusting inward until the adapter was flat against the booster. The longest screw adjusted all the way in was too long, so I ended up using the shorter screw.

Before starting I added some red lock tight to the screw to hold my adjustments firmly in place. The screw was very loose without.

No issues bleeding. Didn’t use any Techstream type products to purge ABS. Just did the MC bench bleed and vacuum bled all 4 corners with the engine off and then all 4 with the engine running.

Any of you guys end up getting the 4runner dust covers or did you trim off an 1" around the old dust cover?

I bought and installed the kit last month and I ended up mocking up the rotor, using a sharpee to outline the trim area and then cut a little bit more than I needed to just to make sure I had enough clearance. I also bent the dust shield a bit to open up more clearance in some areas. I would've installed the shim but didn't want to deal with taking out the hub. Haven't had issues with it. Just take your time and make sure you're not rubbing before putting everything back on.

Trimmed it off. But I have been getting brake noise lately, not sure if something got between the pads and rotor causing it, or if the noise is coming from my rear.

Anyone notice that the discount code is about 15% off?
Still a good deal though, making me about to pull the trigger.

I actually called stoptech themselves and I believe they offered that discount if not a little more for my kit which was a better deal than advertised online at the time. They really are great guys to deal with and very knowledgeable about their stuff. I love my brakes and they really work well if you have dirty5s.

Which one did you get? I'm looking at the 340mm 6 piston one.

Yep that is what I got. I would strongly recommend calling them since you are LT as they made a batch of custom brake lines to be long enough for me since I run a 3.5 kit up front. SOS performance made a custom brake line order of 50 just because of this and should know exactly what you are talking about if you bring this up before ordering.

Sos shows a 6" longer line, I figured that was the one. I'll have to call em.
