They're both plug'n'play and I have the Morimotos in 5500k. They give out great light and I love them however the bulb bounce gets annoying if I am too close to another vehicle.

I have the Morimoto 35w 5500k and the install was dead simple (I went no relay). I haven't noticed any bouncing. The extra light output over stock is amazing.

    No headlight bounce..
The morimoto led fogs i installed bounce a bit, but doesn't bother me.

Now when I drive older halogen vehicles I can't see shit! So spoiled with these lights in this truck.

I've had both kits. Both had bounce so I'm pretty sure it just depends on your specific truck, not the kit.

I switched from the depots to the morimoto because a ballast fried after 6 months. Probably could have claimed warranty but I didn't want to deal with crap again. Headlights are important and you can't just go to autozone and get a new ballast for a headlight mod.

YMMV, but I would strongly recommend the morimoto. It's better quality in every way.

I' leaning towards the Morimoto Elite:
    5500k color temp
    35W
    HD Relay
    No Cap link
    H11B type

Here are the 4500k morimoto. 5500k will be slightly whiter but I was going for more lumins and a closer to stock look (warmer).

I went with xenon depot 5K bulbs and Xtreme led kit for fogs. Very happy with the results. Haven’t noticed much bounce. Will need to adjust the cutoff a bit. Passenger side is a bit high.

So long as they are adjusted properly you should have no issues.

I have XenonDepot Philips 4300 HID kit and love it. No bounce for me after 3 months of running them. I would buy them again, best mod I have done by far.

I ended up ordering the TRS HIDs. 5500k. I asked about the bouncing. They responded and said they use thicker gaskets with there bulbs now. We will see once I get them Installed. Also doing Installing TRD PRO headlights, tails and fogs.

    Do you need the relay?

Also, I’ve installed Morimoto into a few of my Subarus and never had issues with quality. XenonDepot on the other hand, I’m not so sure about. I use Lightwerkz for all my kits and find that he is great! Dealt with him for years now.

Xenon Depot for me 5K. The bulbs were surprisingly a tight fit. Absolutely no bounce and of course much more improved over the LEDs I had in there.

I went with the XD kit with 4300k Philips bulbs. This is my second set. The first one is on my 2011 Camry. It's been 8+ years and still going.

Is 5500k the closest match to the trd led running lights?
