You can take Valley Road too. Or FM TRO for a more exciting time

Eh I’ll probably stick to the easiest way there.

I only have GMRS now, I took out my CB recently as it never gets used anymore and I got tired of it being in the way.

If ya want a GPS HF map, download and install Avenza maps, it's free.

Hit the plus to add a map, choose a http url abd paste in:

    http://www.hildstrom.com/projects/hfap/hfap-4x4-geo.tif

When you are at HF, launch it and hit the target icon and you all set. I would still grab a paper map and use the difficulties marked on that vs the older online map. It works and has helped me before

Got my RTT packed down, might do a test run tonight. Got everything but my fat man pillow folded up. Gotta run to Academy for some propane and a new hose since both of those got lost in the move from Lubbock. Then wait on stuff from Amazon... then its go time baby!

Why am I both scared and intrigued to follow you on some trails. Maybe I'll figure it out when I see your truck.

I get it. It is a busy time of the year. But I’m sure we will get together and wheel sometime.

Shouldn’t be that bad. Just bring layers. Good sleeping bags and blanks and y’all will be fine. Weather changes quickly here. Besides the fire should be going good. :bananadead:

Just bought this little one. Probably going to need help from someone who is familiar with this type of unit. Any radio guru’s out there that are coming on the trip? Currently only know how to turn on and use my regular CB radio.

There will be a few people who have some knowledge on them. I have the same ones but have only used them 2 times. I only know the basics of setting and keeping them working together on the same channel.
