been thinking about this phone over the iPhone. My phone right now ceases to fuction as a phone....and i still have 3 months left on my AT&SHIT contract...might switch over to sprint now though cause im on a family plan so all i have to do is cancel my txt and pay $10 till october...

is this thing easy to use? i know its pretty bulky but i heard there's tv and all kinds of other crap on it...

If you don't live in an area with 4G, don't waste the extra money on an evo. You can get the HTC hero which is almost the same thing but 3G...still plenty fast IMO. Plus you don't have to pay extra per month for the 4G service. Just my 2 cents.

Up in the air, big a$$ tires.
After messing around with my brother-in-laws evo I went to sprint. I was number 14 on the wait list. Should get it in a week or so. Can't wait. He had a cool app that let him shut down all apps that were running at the same time. Battery saver according to him.

I had an issue with mine CONSTANTLY running the interweb and it would burn up the battery in less than 3 hour...but this new update fixed that and then some. Battery life is even better than my pre. The upcoming froyo (2.2) is supposed to increase battery life a huge amount too as well as performance...can't wait.

Wow, do you have the new Iphone? How do you know the service is shitty and there is no signal? Or are you one of the ones who waited in line and didn't get one.

I have had my evo for a month now and I absolutely love it. I'm on a family plan with an evo and one htc hero and my bill is 139 a month. That includes 1500 anytime minutes, any mobile anytime, free night and weekends after 7 and unlimited data, picture messages, text messages and video. I only have 3g in my area now but it works great and I average about 1mb download speed consistently. I must say the evo is way better than the hero. My wife has the hero and the evo is just so much better in every aspect. Only reason she has the hero is because its smaller and lighter. I wanted an iphone forever and even drooled over it for years but at & t service is absolutely terrible. After getting the evo I'm very happy and would not even consider an iphone anymore. Sprint has some of the cheapest plans and I have found there customer service to be great so far. In my honest opinion the evo is easy better in almost all categories. The number one category that makes it better that no one can argue with is the network! Sprint hands down has the better network. Bottom line in my opinion is the iphone has finally met its match...

I dont have one. I'm going to upgrade in a couple of weeks and i'm not sure what to get. i have been reading comments about the Iphone4 online and it seams like the people who didn't get one have the most negative things to say. I don't want to get stuck with a shitty phone for two years.
