    Hey folks,

The wife and I just got a Winnebago Minnie 2401RG travel trailer that we're taking on it's maiden trip in the piney woods of Texas this weekend. And we're trying to plan our first BIG trip in June/July of 2019 to Colorado and Utah and hope to take the rig (2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and the trailer) over the Rimrocker Trail. Have a bit of experience with extreme trails in CO (e.g. Blanca Peak and all over the San Juan Mnts). Done quite a bit of reading about this trail and realize we may not be able to take the trailer the entire way. But...

Hoping to find someone with experience with a trailer on the trail. Where the difficult parts are and what parts are impassable with a trailer. What roads can take you around those impassable areas and so forth?

We'll be going with at least one other couple/vehicle (completely rigged 4Runner TRD Pro) and anticipate using the trailer as a staging area to run the entire trail and circle back to pick up the trailer.

Any and all comments, suggestions, etc are greatly appreciated.

    Richard

Frankly, your Tacoma isn't pulling a 7000lb trailer up any trail.

Also, looks like 70% of the 160mile trail is two lane gravel. Not much different than driving my neighborhood. My big concerns are the stream crossings that can be from 12-20 inches deep, tight switchbacks, and other rocky areas that i expect to bypass. those are the areas i need more detailed info about. Thanks.
