The only use for an 8 track cassette is when you modify an Echoplex, and replace the stupid tape that it comes with. It's a cool mod. Truck worthy!

I probably have about 400 or so albums in the closet. We are on "D" or "F". He left me instructions, but I haven't done sh ,, :anonymous:

Then, there are about 100 or so CD of more modern things I had to have. And the wife had to have - great to travel with prior to satellite.

I have drawers full of cassettes, but they are all rehash copies of stuff we liked before CD came along. Except, for my collection of "Crusin' 1950-60". Culls from live radio, with DJ, and ads from each year. That will be saved.

If it's not hip-hop, rap, country, or modern pop, I have several examples!

Don't know which one you meant yet, but no bother. Haven't been anyplace here that hasn't been somewhat entertaining.

You kids today and your choices in music. I have a playlist on a thumb drive that has, IN ONE FOLDER:
    ‘50s and ‘60s jazz
Baroque chamber music (quartets up to concertos)
    ‘40s swing
    ‘70s and ‘80s hair rock
Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison
‘70s funk and boogie woogie (but not disco, it matters)
Metallica - like, all of it
Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs (if you have to ask you need to go back to school)
Meat Loaf (Bat Out of Hell 1 and 2)
Led Zeppelin - also all of it
British Invasion (1963 to birth of Pink Floyd)
    Angsty ‘90s rap metal
    Bach (a lot of it)
Daft Punk (even more of it)
‘90s country (Garth, Shania, Reba, and George Strait)
    Postmodern Jukebox

    And the piece de resistance...
Bad Lip Reading’s Star Wars Tunes
    - It’s Not the Future
    - Hostiles on the Hill
    - Bushes of Love
    - Seagulls

And I gotta tell you, there is NOTHING more awesome than the look on other people’s faces when you’ve got Seagulls blasting on full volume, windows down, sunroof open, and you’re singing along.

Sounds about right. I LOVE Switched on Bach for "sound wars" with the neighbor kids. (Well, it's been a while, but still)

You get TWO quotes after I listened to that one! Star Wars funny, I used to run sound at a bar that did a lot of disco, and from the rock radio station local, I got every disco record that my boss would never buy. Made mix tapes for band breaks. One album was a Star Wars Disco! And, really, no worse that Seagull! But my son found in doing my vinyls. Now, that thing is a MUST HEAR with his classical music grad student friends when then go from Colombia to St. Louis and back. They are already doing all the R2D2 noises after only two trips. Cracks me up.
