Just ordered a Decked system. Originally had a bedslide and loved it; but after measuring out the footprint of the new fridge we quickly realized its not going to leave us with much usable to space to work with. We also opted for a drop down fridge slide to give us easier access to our fridge. Will post pics once we get everything installed. We currently have an Alu-cab shell. Opted this route to help keep the dust and dirt down to a minimum. So far its worked very well. Just need to seal up the area around the tailgate.

Here's my install and review vid of Decked. I had my 11 year old son Jesse helped so that cut a lot of time and having to squeeze into the narrower side.

Overall I like the system.

@turbosmitty you made a good decision

Decked system is in! Total install time with a friend helping was 2 1/2 hours. Running the Expedition Essentials bedside compressor mount so with that being said; the J hook mount on the driver side had to be offset in order to bolt the decked bracket in place. Drilled a hole through the driver side cubby and ran an 18" Viair line through the ammo can. Picked up a bulkhead connector and simply installed an ARB air coupler for easy access. Super happy with the setup so far. Will be mounting a drop down fridge slide and the coretrax tie down points this weekend.

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to lock the ammo cans? Thanks

How much space is left from the top of the decked system to the top of the bedside?

Can someone take a picture with a measuring tape so I can see the height until the rails and top of bedsides?

Looks like you’ll lose access to the electrical outlet on the passenger side, yes? Any way to preserve that?

Has anyone had issues with their fridges not fitting once the Decked system was installed? I've seen numerous builds with ARB fridges and the drawers, and it fit with no problem. I just went to install my tilt-down slide and realized my 47Q ARB doesn't even fit inside my camper shell anymore. I have to tilt the fridge completely sideways for it to stand up in the middle of my camper shell. I never originally thought my shell was low profile or had a low entrance until now. I do have the carpet system inside my camper shell, but that wouldn't have raised it up very high. I believe my shell is a Leer for reference.

    Yes.

I had a bedside before my decked system, and intended to remount it on top of the drawers.
Like you discovered, we don’t have a lot of space under a shell. I wouldn’t have been able to put much on the slide, so I decided not to use it.

Is it just because of the camper shell model I have? In other posts I've seen plenty of people have what looks like the exact same set up as myself and theirs fit with a fridge slide.

Yes; the normal “cab height” shells aren’t super high, and drop a few inches at the entrance. Some commercial models are more open, and there are plenty of taller shells for even more room.

For everyone’s information, I upgraded to the arb 63 quart series 2 fridge which is actually a low profile fridge. It fits with about 2-3” left and will fit on my alu cab tilt slide once that comes in. Just wanted to follow up on here in case anyone else potentially will have a similar problem.
