I picked up one of these cargo racks to go on my Leer sometime last year, came with the extension. I've yet to use the thing because I'm usually hauling a kayak via Thule saddles. The rack has an offset height to help with wind (I assume) so the front of the rack sits lower and my kayak rests on the front rack on the cab of the truck. I would also like to throw my mountain bike or road bike up there for trips when we're pulling the camper but I'm terrified of clipping something low-hanging. Anyone with this rack have experiences with it to help ease my mind or provide solutions for the kayak issue? Right now I'm tempted to buy another set of feet for the tracks and use my old set of bars to quick swap the cargo rack on for trips only.
