@mesojdm thanks so much for letting me be the fitment guinea pig/long term tester/ideas and refinements guy for this project! I'm so stoked to get the final parts in hand!
And of course, let me know the moment you have any info on those carbon hoods...

I'm waiting to see if he does the carbon bushwhacker style flares myself. Also the scoop bill since stock ones are so flimsy..

 

My wife may leave me if he ever makes a carbon hood. Tipping point

MGM- received this afternoon and put on shortly thereafter as it was uunseasonably nice outside.
Honest assessment:
- As with his other products this is well made.
- The paint and clear are nicely done.
- The color match is not much of an issue for me but will note they are darker than the OEM light surround and bumper. Only note as some here are obvious OCD types and could be a concern. (I do think the MGM may be toughest or one of to color match)
- I just loosened bumper cover and was able to install
- Used a small nut for a bolt to use as a spacer behind the screw closest to the radiator. A small gap was present and the spacer tightened it up.
All in all, worthwhile change.

 

In bright light it does not look as dark...BUT..my MGM doesnt either but does look lighter than the piece.

Do you have any full frontal shots? I’m wanting to see these installed before I make a decision.

 

The issue now is i am out and about and its dark so will be hard to tell the look. Will see if in garage later i can get a better viewpoint for you.

 

Mountain-
I am not sure why the MGM looks so dark. I used the exact color match code from Toyota. I know it is a hard color to match, and have even seen posts of factory doors/fenders not matching.
And the color can look very dark depending on the lighting and viewing angle. Like this

 

Meso- i was/am not , (an did not want to come off as such) disgruntled or dissappointed but thought worth it to point out that they came darker than the bumper/truck. Due to the nature of the color we get lots of shading at times and other times the metallic sparkle etc.
I will shortly attempt a same lighting pic showing the slight varience.

(P.s. i orderd a can of the MGM code oem paint code and tried 4 different clears and still had trouble making it an exact match).
