Found it. Stumbled across a couple high school kids camping. Said they come out here to hog hunt with air rifles. Reminded of me when I was a kid...

...a few years ago...

...and kinda still am...

 

Here is a FLOAT for your interest - It is NOT until February, and it is NOT a TTC event - just a "mini-meet" opportunity. If you are interested, PM me please, using CAR PORN subject. If there is interest, I will try to put together ASAP.

It's all free, it's not a C&C, but you can bring some coffee. You should feel obligated to eat BBQ for free parking. Last year was "weather challenged". Look at the crowd! this could be a fun non-event. I am willing to ask a local BBQ for parking by the wood pile, close to downtown. Maybe we get a discount, but it's still the best BBQ. This show is so large now, you can see a lot, eat lunch, go back!

They have FB also at If there are 10-20 of us interested, I think I can get the parking. ALL the show is free, except food, and stuff you have to have. I expect over 1000 various vehicles this year. Last year, in mediocre weather, 10,000 people were in downtown Lockhart!

Met this guy named Lane in Leander a few days ago with a really nicely set up red 3rd gen (Demello front and rear bumpers, diamondback tonneau, a Hilux hood scoop, 4.88 gears, ARB accessories everywhere). Apparently he's not on any forum, but I was wondering if anyone knew him. He does a lot of overlanding and goes to Hidden Falls regularly. He told me that the single best upgrade he ever did to his truck was changing to 4.88 gears. He seemed cool; he invited me to do some off-roading in the future, so I was just wondering if anyone here knows him. He also told me about the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree, which I didn't know about.

All good! I ended up pretty much setting up, fish for 30 min, went to sleep, woke up, fished for another half hour, took a stupid pic and left

 

i see him all the time i live in leander, also you should def join our convoy to jambo this next year. Best event ever must attend!
