Basic chemical guys products to buy?

Hey guys I’m looking to buy some chemical guys products but not sure where to start as far as what to buy so some insight would be great to get me started. Thanks in advance

i use citrus with my ik9 foamer. it seems to work well as any other PH neutral soap. However, I don't think it's any better than meguiars Ph neutral.

I highly advise that you watch a channel on YouTube called "Dallas Paint Correction and Auto detailing". I think he has some of the best information and reviews for car products on the web.

 

Second the YouTube channel. Guy has great info. And he’s local.

 

Tough Mudder soap and a foam cannon.

 

I started out with a kit that had two buckets, Citrus Wash and Gloss, Diablo Wheel Cleaner, After Wash drying agent, and a couple of towels and wash mit. I added Total Interior cleaner and Butter Wet Wax. I’ve added more stuff since then and I’ve been impressed with all of it. The pic below is after a wash and wax. Not the best pic, but I always forget to take pics so it’s the best I have.

 

Sorry for the delay guys but I purchased and used multiple Chemical Guys wash and wax products today and all I can say is WOW! Started off with the honeydew soap in a torq cannon, after multiple washes ( just a bit ocd on my first wash of a new vehicle) I dried and followed up with a medium clay bar and Clay Luber. Next I used WHITE LIGHT. I could have stopped there because the shine was amazing after removal, but I went with Jet Seal and took the shine to the next level. As a sealer it leaves such a deep gloss so I protected that with VO7 hybrid wax. This wax smelled amazing but for me was a little harder to remove than the first 2 products. All this was laid by hand in the shade and partially into the night. Pics to come tomorrow due to low light conditions.

 

I use Chemical Guys soap in my foam gun, and I like their microfiber towels. For clay bars, I use Mothers. Klasse AIO followed by Klasse Glaze is usually what I put on my cars since it lasts so long. If I'm looking for a really nice shine, I'll put Meguiars Gold Class carnauba on top but I usually don't bother. The photo below just has Glaze, no wax.

 

Looks great! When clean, BBP really pops. This paint has an almost greenish tint to it that you only see in certain light (just seeing it a bit on the front of your truck in that pic).

I've been using a foam sprayer from Wolfgang for about 11 years now. Used everything from regular concentrate from Walmart to chemical guys ph balanced stuff in it. Honestly, it's all worked the same but the PH balanced supposedly is better for the coating. It'll still leave soap marks if you don't wash it all off. Just don't expect to spray foam on and rinse off. You'll still need to wipe/brush it. I use a nice pole brush.

I've also used their hybrid wax. Don't bother with it. It's barely a wax and really meant for people that baby their cars. I'd stick with a good wax or even the Klasse stuff as mentioned above. Or if you really want something good, get a professional ceramic coat.

I've also used their VRP. My 07 taco got rubber rot where it developed all these brown spots on the window seals. With my 18, I'm staying on top of it by keeping the seals treated. VRP looks amazing for about a day or two. Any kind of rain, it's back to normal. I have a ton of the stuff but am switching to 303 UV protectant for seals and headlights. (yeah, you need to uv treat those headlights to prevent yellowing).

I've used their new car smell and leather smell on my old truck and wife's 4 runner. Both are close but no cigar.

I have a ton of their microfiber cloths. They are ok.

For leather cleaner, I use this stuff on steering wheel and seat. It works very well. My wife's 4runner steering wheel gets caked in makeup. This stuff takes it right off and doesn't leave it feeling sticky.
