For 15, 000 or less you should definitely look into the mazdaspeed 3. I have one and they are great all around sporty cars! 270 hp and 260 tq factory out of a 2.3 turbo charged direct injected engine. I have had mine for three years and its been one of the funnest cars I have driven for the money. Do yourself a favor and at least look at one

Given any thought to a 'Vette? You'd need to go back to 1995-1998 era which means either a C4 up to 1996 or a C5 starting in 1997. I see several C5s on autotrader in the $15k range with under 80k miles.

I searched autotrader for WRXs and I don't see but maybe one STI for under $15k, and all of them are 80k+ miles despite being half as old as the 'Vettes.

Bug shield, window visors, skid plate, rust proofing, tonneau cover, paint & upholstery protection, side step bars, navigation system.
Absolute pleasure to drive and most reliable than the other two. Make sure the Sti was not raced and the turbo not dicked with. With that kind of power (300HP), the AWD is sure footed when you decide to rip it and awesome on corners and rain/snow and its got a boxer engine :boink:. The limited slip diff guarantees a smooth and quick take off, every time. Go stick shift for the win.

Its not a great looking car but driver experience is unparalleled. Its a poor mans Porsche and with a few mods, no Porsche would come near you.
