I’m sorry I didn’t specify, but I was referring to on-road driving characteristics, of course long travel is king when it comes to off road driving, but how does it do being daily driven on road?

For at least 6 months prior to the LT conversion I was running 5100s with stock coils. My LT order finally shipped weeks after the original expected date so a few weeks before I actually got it I pulled the front sway bar and was driving the truck around like that. Right away I could feel how loose the front end was. I didn’t mind it but it was a significant difference over driving with the sway bar connected. Off-road with the sway bar connected, down travel was reduced and I often lifted a front wheel when driving across water bars and the like.
Post LT the front end felt much less like it did with the sway bar off. It actually felt like I had put the sway bar back on with how little the front end would “wobble” on road. Off-road the truck drives like a dream. No tire lifting and no tip over sensation.

Yea man similar feel with mine. Truck is a dream on the highway as it just sways throigh stuff instead of feeing all the bumps. In ways it has ruined me though as all full size trucks ride like crap to me now especially.

The truck has cost me a little bit lately with maintenance expenses. First to go was the factory fuel pump on 6/24- towed off Mt Lemmon.

Replaced on 6/25 in the driveway during 105* weather. Ugh.

how many miles do you have on your truck for the fuel pump to die, (while im guessing wheeling)?

It was just over 210K. During the trouble shooting process I had many, many people and even 2 ASE Cert. Toyota mechanics tell me that it wasn’t likely the fuel pump since they “rarely ever go out”.

I was stubborn and pulled the bed to drop the tank and found out my hunch was 100% correct.

Found a new TW bud to help me with the Tack Weld Mod today. I can’t believe how much better the steering feels. Really wish I would have been able to do this sooner but am super glad to have it done now. Thanks Todd @xtremewlr

Thank you! It’s a work in progress as all are. We took it out on a very tame dirt road/trail after project completion. Usually washboard roads are heard and felt through steering wheel vibrations. Happy to report all of that racket and vibes are now gone. Super positive steering now!
