Smart Key, locking and unlocking not working

I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road,

Yesterday I had no issues, today when got to my destination and I touched the door handle to lock the truck I got nothing, I had to push the button on the key fob to lock and then when i came back still had to use the key fob for it to unlock. I had no issue starting the truck or locking or unlocking with the key fob.

Anybody else had this issue, any troubleshooting suggestions. (yes i tried with both key fobs)

And after 2 days of not working, it works again! I did nothing it just started working again.
