    Hey Everyone,
I’m thinking about upgrading my exhausts. I’m looking between the TRD Performance exhaust in black chrome, and the MBRP exhaust. Does anyone recommend any system or is everyone running stock exhaust?

I just installed a Borla Cat-Back Exhaust. It had a great low rumble and is a bit louder than a stock exhaust. No droning on the highway. A+++

I have the TRD exhaust. An extra payment and a couple bottles of good bourbon would have been money better spent.

I agree. Exhausts don’t do much for power on full ECM vehicles. I bought my truck with cash, so no payments. I don’t drink, no bourbon, so I spent money on an exhaust!

Gibsons sound great and aren't obnoxiously loud. I've had a few and that will be one of my next upgrades on my new truck.

Do these things actually improve MPG and horse power or is that a bunch of malarkey?

Well if you read over on those dirty deeds threads he states Toyota mufflers have the most restriction.

So aftermarket high flow has to help..? I bet hardly noticeable.. Maybe a little more efficiency, but you lose it hammering on it because of the sound haha

I had the stock exhaust on my 2016 TRD OR so I have ample experience with that. When I got my 2019 TRD OR one of the dealer add ons was the TRD Performance exhaust.

The TRD Exhaust is nice subtle upgrade over stock. Nice rumble on start up. Sound is a bit louder on acceleration over stock. Sounds really good when you drop down to accelerate at 45 mph to pass. You get just a small hint of drone at 60 to 65 mph but it is only noticeable because I drove a stock system for 2.5 years. Sounds nice when you settle in at freeway cruise speeds.

Does it provide more power? I doubt it. I can't feel it. I would have never bought it but dealer threw it in on my deal as I didn't want to pay for it. I actually really enjoy it for the sound improvement over stock (which is slight). If you want a louder system I would not get the TRD exhaust...go with a different brand if you want more rumble. Although I have noticed with a few miles starting to rack up on it now it has opened up a bit more as time has gone on. As an old dude, the TRD exhaust is perfect for me.

I removed the muffler and replaced it
with a cherry bomb glass pack.
Now it sounds like a Mustang GT350R
Shelby. Not only that, It hauls ass when
you stand in it. Picked up 40 h.p.
and 3 seconds in the quarter mile.

Also installed one. Had it coated black as at the time of the purchase there was no black option.

A muffler is much cheaper, and the truck isn't outflowing the stock size tubing

Catback is much hype when there isn't a true need for anything larger. Unless your stock system is rusted thru
