Stock 2018 suspension will fit 2nd Gen 6-lugs. I just installed 3rd gen coils on my 2008.

Hell yeah. You guys think it’s worth buying a used complete suspension from an 18, with 12,000 miles on them?

    For $250

I would say 200, but that may just me. There is nothing special about the stock suspension and its used for ffs. Have you checked your local threads. I'll bet there is someone in your area that has a set sitting in their garage they would practically give you.

I think 3 rd gen suspension on a 2nd gen will give a 1 in lift

I've heard this as well , makes me wonder where they found the extra inch, I've been too lazy to even get under a new 'yota to see changes made if any

Claimed 1". Someone in another thread (that I'm too lazy to look up) did some measurements, and it came out actually to about HALF an inch. I've also read claims that the RATE is higher on the new ones, something like 700 pounds per inch vs 500. If that's the case, then negligible change in ride height combined with a dramatically higher rate, would be really nice for carrying intermittent load on the front end, like a SNOW PLOW.

I did 2016 TRD OR bilsteins and 4leaf pack on my base reg cab with 90k miles on the old worn out stock suspension.

Lifted the whole truck an inch. I paid $100 for them.

3rd gens sit 1" taller in the front from the factory because the springs are slightly longer.

The reason to do this is if you have an SR5 or even a TRDOR or sport, you get a refresh on your old worn out stock suspension for a very cheap price.

At $200, you could probably spend a little bit more and just get 5100s.
