Morning all...

Not hating, just tired of the same old shit. I'll still watch it, but I won't like it! Actually, I'm just pissed that the NCAA hasn't expanded the playoff to 8 teams to make it more interesting and less about the committee's "scientific" selection process. Some of the sportswriters out there are making compelling arguments to go to an 8-team playoff, and in my opinion it just make sense.

I agree with you on the expansion part and think it's just a matter of time. I will say that I do feel like Alabama and Clemson are a little above the rest of the field right now, but that it's not fair to have tOSU, UGA and UM on the sidelines watching. Any one of those teams can beat Alabama or Clemson and they, imo, all deserve a shot.

I'd like to see expansion to 8 with all power 5 conference champions represented, 1 non power 5 representative (only if they are ranked in the top 10 by the committee), and 2 or 3 at large bids depending on the non power 5 team. OR at least expanded to 6 with 1 and 2 getting a bye..

 

I think the power 5 conference champs, highest ranked non-power 5, and two at large bids would quell most of the critics out there. Allowing in the highest ranked non-power 5 even if they are out of the top 10 should satisfy all of the UCFs and Boise States out there, at least a little bit?

 

Agreed... and Boise has proven in the past and UCF is trying to prove now, that they can play with anyone on a neutral field. I doubt either of those teams would hold up to the rigors of a whole season in a power 5 conference (except maybe the Big12 where defense is optional and it's generally less physical), but they can stand the test of 1 or 2 game in a row for the playoffs. But if there is a year where UCF/Boise/Fresno/USF/Cincy/Navy/Northern Illinois/etc is 9-3 and fringe top 25, that's a waste, IMO.

What I got from it was they're going further since they got knocked down than they were with the new study its never going to stop....They say they want 1600 yards now from the 880 yards proposed from what I recall....

This is exactly why I had to stop going in the woods behind my house even know I had permission form the owner.....
