On the other hand, he can now ask his wife to pay for an aftermarket bumper. Maybe even the TRD Pro grille.

In front of our store, a girl parked on the street, and went into a restaurant across the road. Another person came and parked about 5 feet behind her. This girl then came out of the restaurant, walked across the street, got in her car, and (she could have just pulled out driving forward), backed right into the car behind her. We couldn't move fast enough to stop her. When we went out she said "that car wasn't there when I parked!"

It’s typical- my brother backed my Dad’s station wagon into my first car- poor old little 1600 BMW sedan didnt stand a chance against a 400ci LTD, he said the same thing, and I was parked more than 30 feet behind it!

    That sucks.

In regards to his reaction... that was a pretty fucking stupid move on his wifes part. She knew he was behind her and they live on a street where you’ve got to stop and wait for traffic to back out. She should be trained at this point to be looking as shes baking out.

So I’m going to assume... this shit has happened before.

My SIL has to park the minivan in the center of the two car garage because shes taken 2 mirrors off it.
IDK how my brother deals with it... because I wouldn’t be nice about it.
Gotta learn how to drive. Its really not that hard.

My husband backed my truck into a basketball pole one time.
But I was kind of arguing with him over dumb shit so I’ll take the blame on that one.
But I swaped the old chrome bumper for a white one so win for me.

Are you guys serious? Are we watching the same video? Do you have a safe space? WTF?

I'd be pissed too if that happened to me. I find his seemingly mild reaction normal.

He didn't come out with a gun or hit her.

Prius drivers have to sign a paper before they take delivery of the car agreeing that they will not look while driving. Why else would every single prius driver pull out in front of you at the last minute while you are going 55mph and only go 25...this is in line with not looking. :crapstorm:

Serious, yes. I work with families with guys that react like that and they often end up in court with restraining orders.

When you love someone, as your avatar says (its a good message), be patient with their mistakes.

Also, I guess we don’t really know what led up to all that, maybe they were having an argument before it happened and she was being less than careful (passively aggressive) as well. But if it was an accident, he was being a dick.

Probably not, if you can laugh at it with your wife you are in for a long marriage and are teaching your kids a good way to respond to issues in life. Going off like that was really a negative way to respond to it.

It's okay to be upset. Yelling at someone for making a mistake is in bad taste. I have a feeling the people blaming the woman for her mistake here are the same people who try to weasel out of their own mistakes and blame others.

We all screw up sometimes. Best to learn from it and do better next time.

If my girlfriend did this, I'd immediately try to comfort her because I know she'd be feeling awful about it. And the truth is it's a dumb thing to do, but it can be fixed relatively easily and it won't mess up either of our lives if we don't let it. Like others have said: time for a plate bumper!
